Hymns of Saint Leonides

The characteristic of such CD is the fact that in heard hymns usually is being reference to situations of the past (3rd century after Christ), when there was a particular religious status.

Particularly, Christianism made its first steps in Athens and St. Leonides, who was the first orthodox Archbishop of Athens tried to achieve a special peaceful living together of the Orthodox people and of the fans of Twelve Gods.

It is noted that in Acropolis of Athens there was the Parthenon, a church that was dedicated to Goddess Athena. This goddess was considered as the goddess of wisdom and this goddess is one of the twelve gods of Olympus. Very close to her, near in the shadow of Acropolis, there was the home of Leonides- as there was the centre of Athens at these times- and the cathedral church of Orthodox people.
